Default shame on horrizon and JR

id like to take the time to tell jr and horizon to suck it. there new
4100t servo was installed in a brand new 2.0t one of there own products
and they wont warranty a servo that is less then 8 months old. because
they said the load was to high. when told it was in one of there own
models they stumbled and had no answer. what a chicken shiot way of
doing things. if you cant warranty something, why say it has warranty.
then have no legit answer. then they tell me theyll call back later in the day to discuss and they dont call back.

screw that piss porr company

What is a 4100T? I can find no reference to that modle anywhere on the web.Do you mean 9100t?I have never had warr issues on anything from any of the Horiz companys & specificly JR servos.I have gotten poorly worded(basicly said it was my fault)notes back with old worn out beat up servos that they dont even make anymore but they have always warrantyed my servos even when I would not have not asked for warr.Did you possably call with an attitude?

+1. Hitec has the best warranty in the business and trouble free customer service. I will not use any other servo.

Seen a couple of the new JR's burn up in Losi's too here lately...Personally, I don't think it's a servo issue.

JR = yukky

Hitec = Caddy

The 5955 steering servo in my buggy today is like 4-5 yrs old..... its got 1000s of miles on it in truggies, buggies.... still just as smooth as the day I put it in, amazing. Its the last servo you'll ever buy.

Ask them what servo Drake and Truhe run.... lmao they'll stumble on that one too, Hitec

Sorry to hear about them giving you a hard time. I have had nothing but A++ customer service AND warranty support for my Spektrum & Losi gear. I have sent in a few things and a week or so later, I would see a brand replacement in the mailbox. Did you send them your bad servo?

As far as servos, I'll throw in another vote for Hitec

What do you feel it is? After reading around I think JR might have a problem with the 9100 series servos in the torque versions only. HVT's that is. Some have went out from what I have read with only a few laps on them, some make it a little longer..

For what ever reason the guys who use the speed versions have no issues, losi, mugen, etc... weird.

I would not think it's the car. That's going way back. I was talking to a guy who had some hitecs or Airtronics in for months...same servos in his buggy(2.0) and for 2-3 months in a 2.0 T with no issues. Went to the hvt torques and boom, started having issues. That's enough to tell me it's a servo problem.

Yea i heard from a racer that the jr9100s is on back order for a while he sent his in for warranty, it died lastweek at a away race from nothing but a rutine (sp?) crash. You think since theses servos are so pricey they would give you a loaner untill they dealt with your problem, but no. He cant not go without a servo so He is stuck with buying another servo. while he waits on Horizon to deal with it. He got one othose new "high voltage" hitec servos. Ill know this weekend how he likes it.

Im not really a exclusive user of any servo brand, i have tried a couple of Hitec servos from cheap ones right up to the digital torque ones.They worked flawless.. couple of less expensive JR. not a big fan off JR. I do like my ACE DS1015 and DS 1313 right now!! You can almost get both of the ACE servos for the price of one JR 9100S.
