Default AE Pro .28

Hey guys I picked up a brand new ae pro .28 off ebay as a backup for my sc8I'm looking for some oppinions on wether or not it would be worth having some work done on it. Mainly to increase runtime and smooth it out a little. And if so what are some reputable places to have it done? Thanks Oh yeah I forgot to mention the Sc8 is bad to the bone everyone needs one
