novarossi 367 head shim query!

Hi chaps

doing some maintanence on my engine and ive noticed something

I dont have any head shims on it:confused: now ive not removed any but is it meant to have some in there?

I run 25% fuel if that makes any difference

Thanks

I had a bud say the same thing to me once but the 3 shims were there. It might not look like there's shims in it because they are so thin and squished together. Flip the head button upside down and hold it around the edges of where the shims are supposed to be and twist...you should feel the shims break loose. If they truly aren't there, I don't know sorry lol

Brian ..check that the shims are not under the alloy shim mate

If you have used it and its not broken, The shims should be there some where, squished on the button or the sleeve. Or the sleeve may be raised.

The deck height on the 367 wont let the piston reach TDC if there are no shims.

The least I recomend to run it is 0.4mm, one silver and one copper, I have run 0.35mm on 20% with zero problems, but you have to be carefull with the big/small end play which becomes critical.

it should come with one silver and two copper. Plenty enough for 20% and just right for 30%.

you should have a total of .80mm shims in the 367 with turbo combustion chamber # 28011 .

the shims are there if you did not disassemble before , i am 100% positive of that . novarossi does not mess up with the QA
