Jammin X1-cr
Hey its my first year racing buggy so I picked up a race roller off ebay. I'm looking at upgrades and I need to know if anyone that had the stock chassis upgraded to the lightened chassis and felt a real difference. Im a believer if your going to upgrade and or lighten things up chassis is first place to start. Any help appreciated

If it is your first year racing, i wouldnt worry about, lightening things up, just get track time with it, i mean will you really notice a lighter chassis? i doubt it, but if you want go ahead,

What shipwama said is 100% right. I had the X1-cr when people where racing the X1X. Get use to driving and get upgrades every now and again.

Dragon racing products are the suck! nothing they make is worth the time bidding on.

on the subject on what would be beneficial first mods for the x1 i would say are aluminum chassis braces f/r and a chassis stiffener "Z" brace. these would help in the durability area.
yes the x1 is heavy when compared to others, but the weight has its benefits as well.
here are some links to good prices for actual ofna parts mentioned above at a good price..

big bores look cool and all and there are debates about benefits of running them about everywhere, i am still running the 13mm shocks with red springs and they work fine, my car handles the bumps every bit as well as the big bore counterparts.
I am not saying that big bores are bad, i am sure they have their own benefits. just in my experience the sbb ones do the job just fine. i just run 5wt heavier in the front. right now it is 35/30 but for really smooth tracks i have gone as far as 50/45 diffs are 5/7/2

I did not notice much change with the big bores on a smooth track but get on a ruff ruted track and boy they are like night and day.
