Same thing happened to me except it was my grandpa who did it since he didn't know he had to wait till i got to the stand to put it down.

All i thought was to get the buggy back out asap so i dropped the buggy & watched it go down pit lane & straight over the first turn pipe. Oh yeah he wasn't on the stand yet & was blipping the throttle as he ran up the steps. I felt like an idiot, but we laughed about it later.

Couple weeks ago I was building my new truggy. Glued a tire to wheel, mounted it on chassis. Did next three, set it on tires, admired it, and ran to store for a root beer. Come back and grab the truggy to move it. All 4 tires glued to bench, LOL The CA glue had dripped out and ran down sidewall of tires. Had to cut some knobbies off with an X-acto knife.

Glued a Crime Fighter to my hand trying to hurry doing both sides in sucession, without a drying time. I then proceeded to wipe sweat off my forehead and in the process glued my fingers (with excess CA) to my forehead. Wife had to use finger nail polish remover to free everything up but lost some skin though! In my defense this was the first attempt at mounting tires years ago, and have since hired someone to do all the mounting! My wife still frequently laughs about it...........I don't!

Red face

turned up at the rocky track, warmed up my car by giving it a quick driving around the car park. AND THEN I RAN INTO nothing. but when i went to race in the first race my radio wouldn't work so i looked the RX bat leads and they where nearly completly busted so i grabed my spear RX bat ( 4 very old AA bats in a holder) and started warming up the car. i noticed that the car was slow to respond but i guessed that it was just the bats a bit low. (my spectruim like to have tones of charge and has a fail safe build it). then we line up (in a big bunch) and start. i am out front and about to go into the first corner and then nother. my car stops dead in the middle of the race track and every car in the race(yes everyone) smashes straight into the back of my car.THAN was the biggest piel up i have ever seen. SORRY GUYS.

go hard or go home

At an electric race last winter my heat was coming up and about 5 mins prior I repeaked my pack. Just before my race was called up it beeped that it had finished (perfect timing). Set the car on the track and grabbed some throttle resulting in the car rolling about 6 feet and stopping.

I had discharged the pack.

To go along with the gluing theme, NEVER GLUE TIRES WITH OUT A SHIRT!!!!! 2 weeks ago i was working at my desk gluing tires, cleaning my buggy and cleaning my motor. Well i grabbed a tire put some glue on one side held next to my chest while i turned to get a paper toilet. When i turn back around i felt the pain as i pulled the tire away from my chest! So i still have a bare spot of chest, thanks god i had a lexan scissors near me

Installing a wrist pin thinking "I don't need a stupid protection baggy" then tink, pin shoots off.

Then spending the next hour searching for it, and finding it exactly where i said it should be...

i had one of those moments this past weekend at a race. i run a losi 8ight and was running in a race and was 2 laps ahead of the whole field and in like the last 2 minutes it flamed out so my pit guy ran to go get it and started it back up again and threw it down the pit area and ran about 10 ft and it flamed out again. well, that happened a couple of times after. i finally figured out it was the glowplug and there was like 30 seconds left in the race so i was just like screw it. after the race, i remembered i had a fresh glow plug sitting in my pocket and forgot to give it the my pit man before the race. i was pissed!!!lol
