Default Is DX3S with Hitec 985MG a good combo for 1/8 Buggy?

I plan on getting back into 1/8 buggy racing and need to buy radio gear.

I was considering buying the DX3S radio and use Hitec HS-985MG servos for both steering and throttle. Would this be a decent setup for offroad 1/8 buggy?

I see the Hitec HS-7985MG has the same specs (0.13 sec/172oz) but it is digital. What is the benefit of digital vs non-digital? Would the average racer notice a difference?

Yes those are good servos to use. Digital servos center better.
