Default Pipe size matters?

hi,
i know that manifold lengths will affect the performance, how about pipe length/volume?

using the same manifold, how will a longer/bigger pipe compare to a shorter/smaller pipe?

longer/bigger pipe boost bottom power like longer manifold? or it's the opposite?
