sorry to hear that lol... the engine is good, I've been running them for 2 years... If you can't get these to run right then i dont know what to tell you cuz it's one of the easiest engines to tune.

Put the JX21 con rod in it. The stock rod has no oil hole in it. Your crank pin will thank you.

It has crazy raw power, but not long lasting engine I heard. Mine just had 3 gallons on it, so far still very fast, but got a little bit of problem currently, probably air leak...

i don't really know how many i have owned but i will say over 5. They are very easy to break in and tune. Maybe the best in the business. But where it lacks is life expectancy. Maybe if you do what Powell said that would prolong life. Almost all mine when they EVER ghost flame, pull it because there is definately a problem somewhere, most of the time rod slop or crank pin were. I may even try another and put the jx rod in it to start with and see how that goes. another idea, once it looses the tight spot from the metal pinch replace the bearings. An awesome engine if they could get them to about the 6-8 gal mark consistently. To be honest i probably wouldn't run anything else if they could do that.

They are awesome!!

Here are some tips for searching. Go to the advanced search page, and select titles only and select the section of the forum you want to search in (in this case nitro offroad) then search with your key words.

Here are the v-spec results
