Strange gap in GXR28 engine???

Hello friends. I have a question about Kyosho Inferno ST stock engine (GRX28). I have a strange canal in one side of the carb. I dont know whats its function. Before I take the whole carb in to pieces I thought its a crack or so. After I take a better look from inside I see a perfect cut canal. I've done few air leak tests. So when I close the top and bottom holes of the carb and blow through the fuel line, there is air comming from this canal(gap). The air is small amount when the carb is closed, but it open itself when I blow harder. The wider the carb is oppening, the more air is comming through this gap.
The question is this: Can anybody tell me whats the purpose of this gap? Is it possible the truggy to go no more then 20m/h(there are no difference from 1/2 throtle and full throtle), and the same time go goes more then 300F? There is really nice throtle responce in lower speeds, good acceleration, but then nothing. Last time I run this engine if was fine, good top speed, but the same high temepratures(it was always that hot)...

Thanks,
Stanislav

Where is the rubber boot that covers the slide?
It would also cover the gap that your worried
about up.

I have the rubber boot, just take it off for the picture. He cant seal absolutely perfect the air when I blow through the HSN. Just make it harder to pass by. So I just woundering if other manifacture engines got the similar canals, or its just here for this kyosho engine? For what purpose can this be used?
Thanks
