Kyosho ST-RR vs Tamiya 801xt

Hey guys I currently have a St-rr and its getting a bit expensive with the mp9. But i am faster at truggy and just wanted to see what the 801xt compares to the st-rr. Rough track handling, cornering, jumping, durrabilty, maintance, And parts support online. Any help would be usefull. And plese non of the "st-rr is way better" or junk like that.

i think the tamiya is an awesome car and it is as good if not better than the st-rr. you can find setups for the 801xt at teamtrf.com and parts can be found at speedworldrc.com or tamiyausa.com hope this helps!

Driving feel wise they don't really compare. How they drive around corners is much different. The 801Xt stays much flatter around corners than the ST-RR. Overall cornering I would say is pretty comparable but with a different feel. (801 staying flatter).
The ST-RR is known for being one of if not the best truck in the rough sections of a track. I think the 801Xt is also excellent in the rough in it's own way. The longer arms just give more stability in the rough and generally can go through rough sections with easy. The 801Xt's deficiency is the amount of uptravel however so occasionally a rut can take it the wrong way.
Jumping wise I would say is a wash as both jump very well.
Durability wise they both have the weakness of the front arm. The ST-RR also has the diffs that you must keep an eye on more so than the 801Xt.

Both trucks are great all in all. I'm being as partial as possible here but seeing as though I've driven both I wanted to provide at least a little feedback!
Either way enjoy your selection!
