Default hyper21 8ports in a truggy?

does anyone know how this engine would perform in a jammin truggy?
here is a link for the spec http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/rc-eng...8-p-11018.html

it seems that there is more and more .21 in truggy, at 2.7hp i guess it should be good with a small clutch bell (i'm not looking for an awesome top speed since i run on a tight track)
Thanks

That engine has very little on the bottom end, I don't think it would work well in a truggy. That was the first .21 engine I owned, it was good for learning how to tune an engine but not a great engine over all and didn't hold a tune very well. On the other hand it was my first .21 engine so hard to say if that was more my fault or the engines.

If you are on a budget then get a novarossi n21bf limited w/ a dynamite pipe. They are dirt cheap, last a long time, easy to tune, tons of bottom end, do I need to keep going?

it's my 3rd hyper21 engine, i had a pullstart version, a bumpstart then this one witht the boost.
I don't have any tuning issue with it, and on my buggies i run it with a jp-1
I love this engine but since i already have it, i was wondering if i should buy another one for my truggy

no, get something that will give you more bottom end. That motor will not pull a truggy out of turns well enough.

yes, like that one. A jp3 will work, but the jp3 pipes are fuel hogs. There are more fuel effecient pipes out there & w/ the price of fuel it may be worth it's weight in fuel.

yes it is a great motor, a lot of botom power for a .21
not a super fast engine but reliable so far (didn't run it much) but i bought it because i couple of guys at the track have this engine and for the $ it's more than good, better than a OS rg.
on the downside, i have to run it on the hot side to make it perform, (240) but it stays there and never overheat even after 40 minutes. i use 25% race o donnel nitro
