whats a good cheap starter box for by 1/8 buggy,and were can i get one?

Better to buy good gear to begin with. If you buy cheap now, you will spend more in the end. Ofna truggy start box is THE best box. IMO it is the only one worth buying.

thanks i see u have an rb,i just got a used one from e-bay c-6bbt,looked real good.what would u advice me to look for when i get this engine.i have heard look close at con rod and the bushing and bearings

+1 for ofna boxes, I have two. the 10245 & 10244 which is the blue one in the above link. I agree, get a quality box. I had a RD logics box and it gave me fits, It was cheaper but the wheel is so big that a couple week of racing and the wheel was rubbing the chassis. and there was no way to adjust it. Now I have a almost new box that I can't stand. save your money and buy a good bump box once

Just the normal wear Items. Tear it apart and inspect the bearings, rod, crank pin, check for compression. I am not a ig fan of used engines myself, because of all of the unknowns. You can get engines in great shape, or a pile of garbage.
