RB mods ws7III, JP2 mccoy 8 plug in an 8ight I was getting 12+ minutes at about 230 deg. all depends on where you run, what the temp is outside and how you tune your mill

Thanks for the help. I finally got to run my Toro w/ the new 053. Fuel mileage was much better. It wasn't oh wow mileage like everyone keeps claiming, but was able to make 8 mins. which is all I was hoping for.

too reveal all on my first toro experience,it was a borrowed preproduction unit ,from casey.he was running a novarossi pipe, and nitrotane fuel.i put an ae 2035 pipe and some byrons 30 gen2 race in it and maybe leaned it out one hour on the top to temp around 235.i had acomfortable second place, and wasnt too concerned with first,as he usually beats me anyways,so i cruised for 3-4 laps,or about 2 minutes.usually i am a mildly excited driver.i will usually punch it until i start spinning out, then back off a little.i got 10 minutes with the fuel just at the top off the line that goes in the tank on my 8t 2.0 .

thanks to casey for letting me run his motor.which worked because i then bought my own toro.what i have found is that the 6.5 carb insert has good power.the 7.0 insert starts to give it the wheel spinning power(and fuel wasting)that was part of my driving style.that was when i was happy to have ANY fuel left in my tank at the end of a qualifier.i am at about the 3/4 gallon mark with my own toro and the mileage and performance are both getting better.probably around 9 minutes right now, maybe a little more.

throttle control has a lot to do with mileage as well.i can watch brian kinwald roll half the jumps, and never hear his car hit full throttle, but he manages to stay in the lead and get better than 12 minutes a tank...
"hey buddy,ya gonna finish marshalling my car or just lay there and bleed?"

My Toro is in a D8, not a truggy. So I guess 8 min. isn't too bad.
