Why do Pros tend to use the older coreless servo (i.e. S9351) for throttle and BLS-351 or BLS-352 for steering. By looking at the specifications, the BLS-351 has more torque and speed.

My guess is thay they keep rotating a fresh servo to steering duties as the gears wear and start to develop some slop. The little bit of gear slop won't affect the throttle response much if any. Non digital servos actually seem to hold up better for throttle duty. The newer digitals seem to be better than ones from a few years ago.

I run a s9452 coreless at throttle because of how smooth it moves back and forth off power. You dont need a very strong return spring\rubber band because of this. In fact the servo returns to almost idle with just the pull of the carb itself.

I am not a pro, but I run the Futaba BLS352 on throttle and steering. As stated in the last post, easy back to "neutral".
