you can but its not crucial...your only sucking in so much air.

as per the idle...you set that with the Venturi Out.

that is what i heard to do. i have always adjusted the opening to match the insert so i was not sure of how big a difference it would make. so i guess most put epa to WOT and just retune to whatever insert they use
