Ways to Lighten Up Hyper 8.5
Hello all,
Im currently running a Hyper 8.5 Love it.. Basically Im running a V-Spec JP-4 Savox Servo's ect.. and Im wondering ways to Lighten the buggy up a little. Or it it worth trying, Will the effects make the buggy less durable. I have seen pic's of people drillng holes in everything.. like mud gurads.. chassis braces..ect.. Are there some different ways to lighten it up, without making it more likely to break..?? A easy one is holes in the side mud guards, but here in the Uk.. its normally pritty wet/muddy..so that could end up.. more mud on the car making it even heavier??? any thoughts? cheers |
instead of all these quick question threads... could you plz look on the ofna 8.5 thread or post your question there, not tryin to bash, but you'll prolly hear "go to this thread or this site" anyways

Hey, I ran a Hyper 8.5 last year and mine was actually a converted Hyper 8. If you want to save some weight you could run the Hyper 8 rear chassis brace and center diff posts, that would eliminate the massive center chassis brace. I haven't heard of anybody having issues with the Hyper 8 bending the chassis, so I wouldn't think you would have any problems unless you are routinely casing out a 40ft. quad:) Otherwise I would have to agree with the others saying that you should go to the ofna forum index, you'll find all the info you need.
