Bearing oils???? Newb question

Anyone know what I could use OTHER than the stuff sold in a hobby shop. I just can't see spending $9.00 for such a small bottle.
Thanks,
E

That small bottle has lasted me about 8 years.
And it still has a ton left.

Break Free is excellent (gun oil), Marvel Mystery oil is really good as a light bearing oil, Finish Line Cross Coutry Wet, Finish Line Ceramic Wet (both bike chain oils) are good. These all have an amount of detergent that helps break up anything that gets in the bearings.

If you're talking about bearings for an 1/8th buggy/truggy stick with light grease. Oil won't last long at all.

mobil 1 on clutch bearings but I agree with the other guy grease is better everyplace else.
