Default What would you do? Revo 3.3 or 2.5 w/mods?

I have been wanting to buy a new nitro truck. I currently only have electric.
I have been considering a RTR Revo 3.3 from my LHS for $455

I have the chance to go take a look at a few year old Revo 2.5 model with mods and a Spectrum DX3 reciever. Here is the ad:
This is the most modded revo on craigs list. List of mods: Tekno wing and battery box and reciever box, traxxas aluminum push rods and tie rods, center diff, front and rear brakes, aluminum diff cups, aluminum front knuckels, aluminum shock ends with ball berings, super torque servo {94359} airtronics, 125.00 servo alone, single servo set up, 23mm hex hubs, 40 series crime fighter tiers, metal center drive shafts, three traxxas battery packs for servos- rechargeble, RPM a-arms front and rear top and bottom, O.S. 18 tm E.B modified motor. 399.00 motor alone and spectrum raido. As you can see I have almost 2000.oo dollars in to this truck but tough times forces me to sell. This is a get rid of it now price so first one with 225.00 gets this bad boy truck and all the extras that come along with it.

What would you do? He oversells some of the prices a little but having a 2.4Ghz radio would be nice, At the same time it is used and how used I really won't know for a while. For $225 I guess I could always get my money back out of it in parts? ARRGGGG!

Sounds like a sweet deal, but be careful of scams
