Default What makes a Truggy?

I am assuming it is a Buggy/Truck? Couldn't you just put bigger tires on a buggy and it would be a Truggy or are there other differences?
Thanks

Truggies are longer and wider and many are geared differently to accomodate the bigger tires either with different ratios in the ring/pinion or the clutchbell/spur or sometimes both.

if you ran bigger tires on a buggy for the hell of it would it hurt the motor since its geared different ? ive had many conversations about this at my track
