I just ran them in my kyosho buggy and truggy at P-Hill pro series race. i use the stock kyosho nut and flywheel. The holes on the shoes need reemed a thousant and a spacer on the clutch nut. but they work flawlessly. they have very little wear after a whole race weekend. perform better than any other clutch shoe ive tried. by the way good run this weekend Chris your truggy looked great.

Thanks Jeff. The buggy and truggy worked great in the mains.

I just wanted to clarify my earlier post because I have seen this question asked on other threads so maybe I wasn't clear. If you are running the D8 or D8T you can run the Impulse setup very easily. You just need the AE clutch nut (ASC89135) and springs. Everything else is supplied in the Hot Bodies kit. Use the HB flywheel, clutch bell and shims. I have been running this setup since the car came out and it has worked great. I have been running the 2024 shoes with 1.0 springs on both the buggy and truggy.

Running the AE RC8 flywheel, collet, nut, .09 springs, and Impulse hard shoes on my MBX6. Fits great with the Mugen clutch bell. You can't run any shims behind the collet, which moves the flywheel teeth back a bit, but there is still tons of room to get on it with the starter box.

This combo feels great with my 3190g car and pipey Ninja. Makes the power come in nice and smooth!!!!

I see one of the first post on here the person was running these shoes on a Jammin X2 buggy. In that post it was indicated that the flywheel was needed from associated as well as the not and springs. Is this the case or can you just run the nut and springs? I just got the nut and srpings but did not get the flywheel. The nut looks like its about 3/32" shorter. Is it possible to shim the rest for the clutch bell to spacing? Is there something I am missing that requires this flywheel? I have not got the shoes yet to check any of this. I was hoping I could get some answers here. I don't want to spend 30.00 for two flywheel if I don't have to.

Thanks

Testing went AWESOME! The shoes fit like a glove and performed exactly as expected.

For now there will be Kyosho, Jammin', Mugen and Hot Bodies clutch shoes specific for each brand for an exact fit and alignment of springs and clutch nut.
