i have tried the werks clutches and they never performed to well for me....i think the 3 shoe is the way to go just consistent and easy

I have run the werks clutch for years & never have a problem ,locktite the adjusting nut is all thats needed.$70 in werks clutch assem & bearings will last 10 or more gallons.Standard style cluches were costing $45 every 3-4 gallons & werks is zero maintenence.

I have 4 fioroni vario 3 shoe clutches, They are great, I race Every week, Buggy and Truggy, Set on soft for buggy hard on truggy...IMO, best clutch.

I HAVE THE FIRONI TURBO SLIDER CLUTCH TWO BLACK SHOES. I HAVE THEM STILL AFTER A YEAR. THEY LAST A VERY LONG TIME. IT HAS 3 SPRINGS ON IT. U CAN ALSO RUN 2 SPRINGS IF YOU WANT LESS PUNCH. I RUN THESE SHOES ON BOTH TRUGGY AND BUGGY.

+1 I've been running the werks 4 shoe for almost 2 years with not 1 issue. It's been on 3 motors and in 4 buggies and i've lost count of how much fuel it's seen and i'm still on the original shoes that came with the clutch. I checked the clutch last night and it looks like it will go a few more gallons yet!

I don't understand why people have problems with this clutch? Take the time to set the engagement point, loctite the adjuster nut and you wont need to touch it other than checking shoe wear.... Once every 6 months

I have the same clutch , I really like it do to the fact that they last so long compared to just the stock aluminum clutch set up. Just curiouse about where you put the third spring?

Truggyman- which shoes do you have? There are 3 versions of the clutch shoes, two of them use 3 springs, the newest version only 2 springs.

Its the Turbo twin sliding clutch , I just bought it 3 month ago off Amain. 1 spring fits into 1 set of shoes. But ive heard other guys using 3 , just wondering where you put the third one. thanks man.

The older two shoe "Turbo" sliding clutch can use 3 springs, the four shoe "Turbo Twin" only two. I have used the "Turbo" for about 2 1/2 years, with no problems. Been thinking about trying the "Turbo Twin" for my buggy.

There are 2 types of Twin Turbo shoes. The older type uses 3 springs, the newer type only uses 2. The newer type has 4 equal thickness shoes, while the older type has 2 thicker and 2 thinner shoes.

Ahhhh. I did not know this. Is there a way to tell by part numbers? Does Fioroni even still produce the regular "Turbo" and "Turbo Twin ver. 1" shoes?

Judging by what your saying, I own the older shoes, because 2 of the shoes are like a hair thicker then the other 2 . But the weird thing is they only came with 2 springs , I dont even think a 3rd spring would fit. Any thoughts?

Turbo Clutch Shoe Part Numbers:

First Version, uses up to 3 springs:
OT-FR52- black 2 shoe
OT-FR53- white 2 shoe
OT-FR54- blue 2 shoe

Second Version, uses up to 3 springs (70/30 split):
OT-FR56- black 4 shoe
OT-FR57- blue 4 shoe
OT-FR58- white 4 shoe

Third Version uses 2 springs (50/50 split):
OT-FR86- black 4 shoe
OT-FR87- blue 4 shoe

I use the "Turbo Twin 2007"(newest version 4 shoe 50/50 split shoes) With 2 hard option springs. If you have this version it only uses 2 springs, but if you want more snap replace the stock springs with the option hard springs. Like I said prolly 8-9 gallons on the first set of shoes. onlychanged springs every couple of gallons to keep the snap where I wanted it. I just bought a second setup and a new set of shoes for buggy and truggy for this upcomming season. I highly doubt I will ever use a 3-4 shoe aluminum clutch setup ever again. This setup is just sooo nice!!
