Default Rc8 brake question.

I just changed over to a Xtreme racing carbon brake disk from the factory RTR disc well there is no braking i adjusted the brake bias and still very little brakes. Well i measured the distance between the brake pads and they are set a 4.5mm thats what the manual says, the thickness of the two diffrent brake rotors are pretty close to being the same within 1mm of each other. Should i adjust the spacing between the brake pads to like 3.0mm to get the braking i need?
Thanks for any help!!

Yes, I would adjust the brake plates because it sounds like there is too much room... you might also want to scrub the discs so that they are slightly rough in order for them to grab more.

+1 for the above. The gap is very precise and 1mm makes a big difference. I would make the gap 3.5mm and see if that solves the problem.
