Well just like everyone else of course the dang buggy wont start right away out of the box. Its a hyper 7 black. Just like when I got my losi 8 it took 2 days to start. I guess this is the norm. I looked at other threads and have followed the recommendations. Still wont start. It seems like I am getting closer and closer though. Here are the items i have checked over

Glow plug good
Ignitor Fully charged
Idled needle at factory recommendation
HS needle at foactory recommedation 3 turns out from closed
Primed Yes
Fly wheel spinning Yes nothing is locked up
Hair Dryer Yep the wife is pissed
Piston moving in the motor Yes
Fuel to the carb yes It does seem that i can clear all of the bubbles though before it hits the fuel filter.
Roto start Keeps dying and i have to wait until its charged.

When i got it i was like yeh i cant start it right away. Didnt happen. ERRRRRRRRR

It shouldn't take that long to get the engine started. If you killed two battery packs in the roto starter then you're cranking the engine too long for no good reason. My guess is that it's a fuel problem. Try pinching off the fuel line while you crank it. If it fires up, then it tells you that you already have too much fuel in the engine. If that doesn't work, then the engine isn't getting enough fuel. All this assumes that the carb is open far enough to allow the engine to start.

Try pulling the throttle a little when trying to start. Also maybe try to richen the low speed s little at a time. This is what I did.

Another problem could be that the engine is flooded. To solve this just take the glow plug out and turn the car upside down to let the fuel drain.

Lean the lsn when it doesnt start, not richen it.

I did this 3 times its not flooded as there is no gas coming out when turned upside down after i pull the glow plug.

This is the third time I think you got mixed up. This is how i think of it. Lean is more air. So think if you lean it out it will be a bigger explosion then if it just was all fuel.

It could be either or.
It could be so lean that theres no fuel going into the engine.
Lean the low speed needle till it stops turning, don't force it just as soon as you feel resistance stop turning.
Then back it out till it is flush with the base of the slide carb.

Thats where i have now. I did notice that when i prime the fuel the bubbles take take awhile to clear and move to the carb. There is one very small bubble that stays this is before it hits the fuel filter though. I can smell the gas coming from the pipe so i know its getting gas. Going to go try again right now. wish me luck

One thing I have to make sure I ask; is your fuel line correctly connected? In other words the pressure line is going to the pipe and the feed line going to the carb? Reason I asked is because I had a friend who was new to RC and he called me and said he couldn't start his Jammin X2 truggy. I went through with him over the phone the things to check and still couldn't start the motor. Told him to bring the truggy to the track the following day and found out he had his fuel line connected incorrectly. He had the pressure line in the carb and the feed line in the pipe. After that was fixed it fired right up.

When are factory settings on a RTR engine set too lean?

When you buy an Ofna GPX4 RTR and you start then engine and its revving like its at full throttle from being so lean on the High Speed.

Oh and yes the the radio was set up properly.
