I have always had good luck with O.S. Engines. Yes you could get it Moded.

Take a look at the silver head GRP, the GRP tuned, RB s7, Vspec, jx ninja. Those are all very good engines.

Here are a couple codes for carolinas if they are a shop you use..

rcjan930 $30, $300 or more

rcjan965 $65 over $700

Mike look at the Vspec, jx ninja, and Nova,NovaRossi N21BF Limited 3. I race with the Mugen Jx Ninja and love it .Its a lot like the Vspec bit it has more mid toq and more high end toq. I also have the Nova Rossi n21bf , its a 3 port and picked it up to play with but gets up and goes as well and you can pick on of those up for about $160. If you looking for a big race motor i would really look at the Mugen Ninja .

Try a Go Tech .21 turbo. They fixed the carb issues and they offer great performance at an affordable price. If you shop around, you can find a new Got Tech turbo .21 for well under $200.00.

Does anyone know what kind of performance advantage i'll get by swaping out the crank in my O.S. VZ-R with an O.S. Speed crank?

I'm pretty sure you can't, at least not without the matching crank. The RZ has a different bore/stroke, the ports wouldn't be placed correctly.

Give the Nova .21bf limited a try. A-Main has them for $150. It's high quality Novarossi stuff and it'll make more power with better run time than the RG (I love these too) and it runs best with the same pipe as an RG, which is an 086 or JP2.

Is the Novarossi 9886 the same as the 086?

Yes they are the same pipe. You can save a little money buying A Dynamite Platinum 086 pipe instead of the Novarossi 9886.

Mike

Nova .21bf limited 3 port is going to give you a little run time between stops. I run mine at 210 - 220 and it was super easy to tune . I have about 5 gal of 30% though it and have never had a prob with it .

Is that an Onroad or offroad pipe? Does it even matter? I have a 9886 on a VZ-R on my Evolva/Delta.
