Thanks guys! I think going with 2 large may be a bit overkill lol!! It seems that those filters are no longer available via Amain, so any ideas on a substitute of equal size? I like where you mounted them, makes good routing sense as I'm also not using the stock air filter...I can use that empty hole.

Kyosho has a very similar filter, but they are silver instead of Black. they do not have a dual mount , but many use 2 singles mounted nearly the same as the O'Donnell dual mount..

Doesn't the fuel line get in the way of the back side if the brake linkage where it almost hits the tank on full break? Seems like you'd have to route the line around the carb and turn the inlet a bit?

I ve been looking at some pics of buggys/truggys and noticed some using fuel tubing on both brake pulls where the stock springs go. Would this be used to not have as aggressive braking issues ?
Thanks
Dave

the fuel line is stiffer than the spring. So if you want the pressure to apply better use fuel line but you should have the back breaks slightly tighter than the front so the back locks up first. It makes it easier to swing the rear around the turns better. but that just me but a lot of guy do it that way. It seem to have more control then with the fuel line. I would cut some the same size of the springs and give it a try you might have to adjuste it some but it should work out better. Good luck.

Questions??

If using fuel line to replace the spring on the brakes you can actually cut it half the size or less of the spring length. This also allows you to shorten the rods and keeps them much farther from the tank.

Now for the question:
Off power steering is insane, turns on a dime.
On power is horrible, turns on a man hole. Doesn't matter if full throttle or 1/4 throttle.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Current diffs are 7/7/3, shocks 35 front/rear, sway bars 2.3 front, 2.5 rear.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I would like some more power steering. Looking through this thread I see these suggestions:
-Diffs to 5/10/3
-Move rear hubs back
-Heavier oil in front shocks
-Check front sway bar, check servo saver spring

Am I heading in the right way? I was going to try them in order listed.

Thanks!

More Steering Into the Corner:...............

Thinner oil in front diff

Less caster

Stand up front shocks on tower

Front upper link down on tower

Short ackermann plate

Steering link back on Ackermann plate

Thinner rear swaybar

Lean rear shocks down on tower

More Steering Mid-to-Exit of the Corner and On-Power:...................

Thicker oil in Front diff

More caster

Lean front shocks down on tower

Thicker rear swaybar

Stand up rear shocks on tower

Make one of the above changes at a time.. DO not change all of that or you will be so loose you can't control it..

I suggest running the Smiley Set Up. Search this thread for it, it has been posted a few times..

you could have just moved your body mounts up and use one screw, the small plastic pin on mount rests on top of the shock tower, then you would have not had to cut body like that.
