I've never had a HB bladder tear or break, when they get old they sort of get a little flat though. With the 103.5mm buggy droop, I've never had the nut hit the bladder so it'd tear it. I use a longer shock bottom which pretty much keeps the shaft from hitting the bladder b/c it limits the uptravel a bit. If you just unscrew the stock shock bottoms it'll allow the shaft to extend further into the body hitting the bladder. So try putting the HB D8 steering ballcups on the bottom of the rear shocks, trim them so they are 1-2mm shorter, and screw on enough so you have the shock length you want.

I have the choice of either the D8T...or the new Losi 8T 2.0....in which the D8T is like 300 less. ha ima wait till this comes out and see how this does before i order the 2.0.

Go for the d8t and make yourself happy......take the $300 put it towards motor or whatever else you need and kick some a$$ with the D8 like were going todo

i am kind of in the same boat as you. the 2.0 is tried and tested. but really not that different from the 1.0 just longer and longer shocks. the D8T is looking like a real contender for the money you save and hot bodies is a great company.so save some money and spend it on extra parts or upgrade your gear, 300 is a lot to save.

Yea tha money saving part and the same outcome basically of a truggy....i shall just get an engine that WILL out-perform an 8T 2.0. haha AND THIS IS COMING FROM A GUY'S NAME IS LOSI 8T....not good..lol

When im out on tha track and see all these T 2.0's while i have the D8T out and they are saying.."Man my T just aint doin it for me"...only words i will say and then walk away are.."Should of had a D8T"..then sling dirt up on there T's from the D8T. the look on there face will be similar to this probably and some of this

I'll look like this

Not trying to sound like a losi fanboy here but the 8t 2.0 is nothing like the 1.0 on the track. I can do things with the new truggy that I would never thought possible with the old one. Now if you want to save the $300 I can understand that, but just know that the 2.0 is definately a different animal than the 1.0.
