Default Panther Tires Alignment

I'm mounting some Switches tonight and I need a definitive answer about where the line around the tire goes. I'll be running these indoors on a very tight, packed clay track with virtually zero ruts. Does the line go on the inside or the outside? Bonus points for why.

Default Switches

I have always mounted the line to the outside,
Why? well i assume it is for the same reason that front tires for gas trucks have multiple grooves, when turning it will be consistant around the corner !
Good Luck
Tom
