Brakes, Brakes & more Brakes!!!
I'm looking to upgrade the brakes on my Kyosho ST-RR truggy, and would like some advice on the best pad/rotor/caliper combinations being used out there. It seems that most of the aftermarket stuff is interchangeable, so what's working best for you guys?

Thanks guys, any other suggestions? Anyone using Racer's Edge disks?

I thought the brakes on the STRR were some of the best ever.

+2. Kyosho has the best brake rotors and pads. The aftermarket stuff might make your braking a little better, but that isnt exactly going to make your lap times go down substantially. The Kyosho pads are made from the same stuff as real car pads and the rotors stay true and dont wear much at all. I have never had brake fade with my 777WC, actually, they feel like they get better the warmer they got. I started braking hard during my warm up laps to get some heat in them before the clock starts.

WOW! I never expected to get this kind of response for the stock Kyosho brake system. I must say that you've all convinced me, I'll stick with what I have. Houston, you mentioned "bonded acre" pads...what are these and where do I find them? Are they the new upgraded Kyosho pads or what?? Thanks for all the responses!!

They should have been stock equipment if you had a ST-RR. You should be able to find them in the parts listing.

Unfortunately no, this truggy began life as an ST-R and was partially converted before it got to me. I've completed the process but I'm still finding certain items that may have been overlooked. The pads attached the calipers seem to be pretty thick, so since the stock ST-R's are very thin I'm going to assume that they have been upgraded to the newer ST-RR version. Seem logical???
