Hmmm I'm thinking the plastic ones have enough flex as it is. $43 for a chassis brace seems a little steep. I think I will stick with plastic braces.

Yeah losi's have enough flex anyway. especially the tft chassis and 2.0 chassis. I run the khz extended mount so that would keep flex down in the spur/bell area but damn $40 for 1 chassis brace.

I've seen other people make their own out of electric shocks.

The losi 8 that won the Italian champs wo with a shockabsorber instead of the rear chassibrace. It had no spring but the shockshaft was "filled with O-rings to act as a spring, and probebly very hard diffoil in the shock. You can tune the grip on the rear end of the car that way, and how it works through bumps. It is actually a good tuning option.

The SV Crono won the euros twice with a car with a fifth shockabsorber for the rear chassibrace.
