What is the difference between carbon and teflon shoes?

Teflon shoes are white. They come standard in the Losi xxxnt 1/10 scale
nitro stadium truck. From my experience teflon shoes slip more than carbon
shoes and thats a good thing for gas two wheel drive trucks.
