better diff gears??
i have a jammin' x-1 truggy. the diff gears are aluminum and they wear very quickly. does any company make hardened gears or gears made of steel?? is there any other truggy/buggy diff gears that will work that are better quality??

i have never heard of them wearing quickly.. i ran the the whole season on the same set in my cr. i do not know of any other companies that make them

they are steel, not aluminum
make sure they are shimmed correctly, they should last a very long time

Hpi or Hotbodies ones drop in. They are hardened aluminum and should last ALOT longer. I have seen the wear you are talking about. Ofna needs to catch on IMO. I personally haven't tried the other gears but one of my buddies had been running them for some time with great results. They are also cheap!!!

I believe that he's asking about the bevel gears INSIDE the diff, in which case you want Kyosho part number IF102. The IF104 and IF101 outdrives would also be a good investment - they'll last a lot longer.
