Default better diff gears??

i have a jammin' x-1 truggy. the diff gears are aluminum and they wear very quickly. does any company make hardened gears or gears made of steel?? is there any other truggy/buggy diff gears that will work that are better quality??

they are steel, not aluminum

make sure they are shimmed correctly, they should last a very long time

Default Diff Gears

Sounds like they need to be reshimded or something. I have never replaced a set in any car that I have had in the last 7 years.

Kyosho ones drop right in, last longer and are 1/2 the price. I had a Jammin one go once and most people running the X2 at my track have had to switch also.

Hpi or Hotbodies ones drop in. They are hardened aluminum and should last ALOT longer. I have seen the wear you are talking about. Ofna needs to catch on IMO. I personally haven't tried the other gears but one of my buddies had been running them for some time with great results. They are also cheap!!!

I believe that he's asking about the bevel gears INSIDE the diff, in which case you want Kyosho part number IF102. The IF104 and IF101 outdrives would also be a good investment - they'll last a lot longer.
