It's best to just replace the shaft. You "Can" replace a pin, if you can find one the right size (do not think you can just buy pins ""FOR"" that part though) .. I have done it before, one of my pins was all but out, so I pinched it back in with pliers ... centered it the best I could. . then sweat soldered it like you do with plumbing pipes. It has lasted, but I have a replacement already because it's only a matter of time.. hopefully not during a main.

You can replace tne pin with no issues. Losi offers a pin kit for the Eight. You can also use the Mugen pins. Both are a direct fit.
The tool used to do the job is the Bonesaver.

I don't remember exactly but the Mugen pins will fit some of the drive shafts and the Losi ones the other. I believe for your case you need the Mugen one.

I don't think the pin kit LOSA3518 is for that end of the dogbones, I bought one thinking the same thing. The pins are hell to get out unless you have a press of some sort. Chances are the cvd end is worn out too.

I just want to say that Ralph's bonesaver tool is awesome. I use it to change pins on the drive shafts all over the car. Plus, he stands behind his product. I broke one of the screws used in the tool and Ralph sent me a replacement, no questions asked.

MUGC0271 and MUGC0270 Is the part numbers of the replacement pins needed. These are cheap and fit many different cars. I have used them on my RC8, Mugen, Losi, OCM and others. The tool is availble directly from Ralph or from Amain

I got a losi pin kit but there was no pins for the centre drive shafts,But the pins are the same as the pins for the hubs all you will have to do is to cut them to length.I did mine this way on the 8ight 1.0 and they were in there for over 6 months with no problems
