That unfortunately presumes that the companies measure their oils properly.

Have a look at http://www.twf8.ws/new/tech/shocks/shock.htm

Some companies were up to 20% off in their quoted values! Then again at a casual glance it seems at least Kyosho were pretty close and better than most.

IMHO, it is easier to just use the shock oil made by the same manufacturer as your buggy, so you can follow what the factory guys are using and then adjust a little to suit................. as we will never get a standard :(

You are correct about presuming that the companies measure their oils properly. But this at least gets you in the ball park and you can adjust to suit your driving style and track conditions.
