im sure this has been covered before but i wanna know what everyone else is running in there truggies, im thinking the new reedy .21, but i dont wanna be a guinea pig either, or im stuck between a .21 v-spec or the .28xz, please help as ive been racking my brain on this im runnin a rc8t, is a .28 too much?

WAY too much imo....most of the newer breed truggy's are more geared for a race .21......28's are overkill 99.9% of the time.

yeah kinda what i thought explains why the rc8t is geared for a .21, and im thinking v spec cause they hold a tune well

.28's also make lunch meat of your CVD pins, Drive pins and Out drives.

A .28 will get you back quicker if you make mistakes often Get a cheap .28 (a cheap .28 will still give more punch than a high end .21) for fun/practice and a .21 for racing.

most definately a .21

they make plenty of power, have smoother/more usable powerbands and get much better run times. Pretty much a no brainer IMO.

Yes you will probably pay more for a good .21 but it will treat you better and last longer. well worth it.

i ran a . 28 in my rc8t and it is way to much for the truggy. .21 is the way to go

I think most of the answers have already covered your question well, but let me add that I also suggest a .21 engine because it has more than enough power and the fuel economy is much better. ALL of the best drivers competing in the truggy class are using .21 engines and they have the choice of whatever engine they would like.

does it have to be a good quality .21? or can it be just any .21, coz i dont know if a Picco would have enough power to push a truggy.

A good Picco .21 will have plenty of power for a truggy. A P7R Evo 3 will have all the power you need.
