Screw stuck in engine block
Ok guys I was working on my novarossi plus 21-5k today and when I was reinstalling the backplate one of the screw heads broke off. I wasn't even applying very much torque and it snapped clean off flush with the block. So now i'm trying to figure out a way to get the screw shaft out. It is flush with the block(mabey even slightly in from the block) so trying to grab it with pliers it out of the question. I don't think I can slot it with a dremmel because that would scar up the block too much. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys.

You could always drill it out and re tap it with a slightly larger diameter screw however I had the same thing happen to me on my axe rossi mamba and since it had 4-5 gallons through it already I just sealed the backplate with carb sealant and locktighted all three other screws and swear on the man upstairs I never had one single issue with it. A buddy of mine still runs it.

Just looked at the price of a new Plus 5 case.....249....wow that is ridiculous. If the three screw/sealant method doesn't work, and you have a lot of life left in the P/S/R Id say just ask around for a worn out plus 5 and take the case.

i would try a screw extractor first... i had to use one on a motor mount one time.
i really doubt that it will seal good enough with just three screws and sealant.
