Got my second taste of outdoor racing yesterday with my 8T 2.0. Man, is this truck fun! Qualified second for the A but had engine troubles at the
half way mark and pulled it. Just a local club race and didn't want to hurt the engine anymore than necessary as it is my only engine. Not sure why but it just went stupid rich about 12ish minutes in and kept stalling. Track was super loamy and eating air filters all day so but I can't believe that it would have chocked the engine that bad. Too hot to mess with it today though so time will tell. ;) As for the V2 rear tower, where is that helping you guys again? More slow speed rotation or ???? I'm still running the box setup + front and rear adj hinge pin braces set to AD's settings. It did seem to lack some slow speed rotation but I figured that it was just me and being use to my buggy. A little extra throttle or brake seemed to solve those issues for me. |

The final voltage that my charger reads on them is 6.6 volts. Life packs can be run dead, the packs will not swell. However, it is recommended by several manufacturers that you cycle the packs for approximately 20 times before you start pushing them that far. Run them for an hour and charge them up again. It is never a good idea to run a receiver pack dead though, who wants a runaway car? Life packs last longer than Lipo as far as cycle life is concerned.
back to voltage runtime, i think the hitec's quit after 5v, so deep discharging won't be an issue, but i didn't want to run a voltage cut off, and whatever lipo precautions for this life battery. the losi lipo is 2000 mah.. the Helotes life is 1700.. and this cobra is only 1350. im currious its not the BEST bang for the buck. even though the losi is lipo.. which i wouldn't mind getting away from, even the US Helotes battery is higher mah, its still life.. and bigger. i don't know which way to go. |

I am running the rear camber links on the new lower outer hole on the V2. Seems to let the truck rotate more off power. |

i checked the dimensions and its similar to the losi, so it should.. im considering this over the cobra battery since it would save a tad on shipping. larger MAH doesn't hurt either.

How new is the engine? It just may have fully broken in. They do that when they finally break all the way in. Some do it all at once and others a little at a time. The v2 tower takes away some push and makes the teuggy drive more like a buggy.
it finally broke in. It lost all of its metal pinch a good 2-3 gallons ago. All compression pinch now. That is exactly how it acted though, now that you say it Frank. Its been hot and rainy all day here and I've been too lazy to go pull it out of the back of my truck to mess with it.

The Cobra pack says "1400mAh" on it. I haven't run it down all the way yet so I don't know how true the claim is.

i just started having runaways! i can run practice then charge it,then run a qualifier then charge it,and then usually during the 2nd qualifier it starts glitching...but i start to notice my steering starts glitching first then 5 mins later or even sooner the throttle goes wide open so i always get to it before it actually runs from me!i have a REEDY 1600mah nimh hump pack that is a couple months old...a couple racers said it was cause i never let the battery run down before i charge it! i just wanted to completely avoid runaways so after every use i charge it!....is that not good for the hump pack?...somebody else also said it was cause i charge it @ 2 amps instead of 1amp...my manual for my charger says 1500mah-2100mah charges @ 2amps?....is this wrong?
