Cheapest Savage XL ever!
Check this deal out -- I've been dying to pick up an HPI Savage XL but couldn't bring myself to try and convince the wife to let me spend close to $600 on another R/C car.
With Ebay, Live search and Microsoft cashback offer though, I was able to do it. Here's how it all totaled out:
HPI Savage XL (on ebay) + shipping: $549 + $15 = $564
subtract 10% ebay coupon (good until 30 Nov) = $507.60
subtract 30% ($165) Microsoft cashback from live search = $342.60
subtract HPI's "stimulus check" rebate ($50) = $292.60!
So I got a brand-new Savage XL for under $300 -- not too shabby! Tally in the money I've saved up from my side business detailing cars...and it's really at no cost (other than my sweat and sore arms from waxing).
Merry Christmas to me!

I was reading the "fine print" in the other post...
So, today you are paying the full "buy it now" price.
AFTER 60 days, you get the money back.
Its not like its instant. So, what I'm saying or reading is that its the full amount out of my pocket right now.
Am I reading that right?

Yes - you get a reimbursement later. The $165 is currently showing as "pending" in my account. It could take up to 60 days for the money to be credited to your account. But still, I count that as money back, as long as you have the money to cover the purchase right now.
It seems legit - I'll keep you all posted on if I have any problems or not.

Well, everything was going great and said I was getting 30% off. I paid and and when I click on the link to get my cash back, it's dead. 
Do I only have 60 minutes to complete this? If that's so, then it's a scam if the link won't work. There is no message in my Ebay message either to sign up for Live. Now I'm pissed.

No scam, real deal. I picked up a OS speed for $258.00 (Shipped) last month. A buddy of mine already got his money back last week for a Losi 2.0.
Takes up to 24 hour before you refund shows in your Microsoft account after a purchase, and 60 days before its available to transfer back to you paypal account.

The link doesnt work for me to set up the Live deal. So now I have paid, but can't apply for the rebate. I'm glad it worked for some, right now I'm out the $70 rebate. I have no message in my Ebay messages either.
Edit- the message finally came through Ebay and that link worked. The original one when I paid through Paypal was dead. I have been trying to fix it for an hour. It now shows pending, so it should work. Ebay coupons only work for the person eligible for it. I tried using the coupon code CHOLIDAYNOV2008 for 10% off and it worked until I tried to pay and then it showed invalid.

Any one know when the live.com deal ends? The item i want to get is on eBay right now so I'll probably have to wait a few weeks before I see one with a buy it now.

As far as I know the live.com is a continuous deal - the percentage you get back may just be a little higher right now because of the holidays, but it started over the summer so it shouldn't expire, unless Microsoft gets tired of spending money and discontinues it altogether.
