axial .28 help

a friend gave me an o.s. v-spec motor with a broken rod. i changed out the rod. vehicle now runs. noticed the carb had been switched out with an axial
.28 carb (orange restrictor). he has messed with the mid range needle. does anybody know where this needles base setting is supposed to be? i was thinking it was supposed to be flush. the car acceleartes good and top end is fine. the motor seems like it runs a little on the rich side. is it because it has a carb for a .28? i tuned the needles to optimum performance (as far as i know). need help with this carbs base settings please. cant find it on axial website.

Hey 91integrags, There is a line on the HSN housing for stock setting but mine is about 2.5 out from closed i would start there the hsn at stock is very rich, the low is flush then ajust from there and the mid is flush, now on the mid take the HSN housing out and look in to see the mid needle there are four holes in the mid needle aline one of the holes up with the hsn hole i then sealed off the mid needle with some high temp rtv, hope this helps.
