All of those Amain links take you to the Amain website...not individual motors. I like the Picco .28 for a good budget truggy motor with LOTS of power.

...I also like the Jammin JPX .28...Both motors are $200 and turbo plug.

the other day i drove a buddys truggy around the track. it was, engine wise, very snappy with smooth strong power. i could do the creep and blip to clear jumps and on the straightaway it ran like a raped ape.

the engine in there was a sportworks .26 v2. the guy told me it was something like 119.00 at the hobby shop. when i get a truggy i will be using this mill myself.

The Sportwerks .26 is great motor especially for the price. They are getting hard to find Ebay local shops but if you can find one you won't be disapointed.

I have a Dyanamite .28 in my truggy just for a cheap motor it will hang and out run some of the other high end motors. It is pretty fast for what it is but I know I will be replacing it a lot sooner than one of the higher end motors. I got it just to get my truggy going instead of forking out alot more money. I got it for $140. at A main.

I too have been running Dynamite platnum .28 engines in one of my truggies for 3 years now.. I have 2 seasons on the one now and never opened up.. very reliable engine.. I also have a RB c6 in my other truggy and a GRP .21 in my MT.axial .12s in our sprint cars and they've all been good engines.. so I'm not just picking one brand to bash the others.. the platinum is the engine I'll probably run more often than the others tho.. I see A-main has them on sale for $160.00 now..

I like the feel of a mach 26 with a non pull start backplate and a jammin jp1 pipe. It's not so torquey that its hard to control but it has plenty of power to get it done. It's also pretty easy to tune. It's not a high end motor by any means but I've been able to get 5-6 gallons through them no problem. Pistons and sleeve sets can be found on ebay for 50 or less. The m26ss losi engine is the same thing but it would need a non pull start back plate.

I've heard the mach 28 lacks some top end but has great torque. The mach 427 is supposed to be strong engine as well.

HaHa, Yeah I would not hesitate to buy another Dyanamite motor if I was on a budget. Specialy if A main is blowing them out. Mine has plenty of top end but are track straight away is only about 120' long and it pulls the hole distance and then some.

For sure...$160 is a steal. I might pick one up as a backup for the os .28.
