29mm & 32mm AE Big Bore Question

Can I take the 32mm shock bodies and put the 29mm shafts in them to run on the front of my RC8? Also what do I need to do to run the rear truggy shock tower on my RC8. I know I need to use the 32mm shocks on the rear. But I heard I had to use the front shock stand offs, is this correct?

Just something to try out. I have been running the stock shocks with 1.4x2 & 1.1x2 pistons, 40w oil all around with black springs. I may try the Jammin big bores I have in my box tomorrow night. The car seem to get upset a lot. Also slaytanic who are you?

If you use the 29mm shafts you might not have enough up travel. If you do not use the AE shock boot that will give you some more up travel to help compensate.

I am running the truggy tower with the buggy standoffs. Same thing with the the rears. You need to cut the bump stop off of the AE boot if you want to use those. I am using the jammin boots. It's a really tight fit at the top but you can get them on there.

I found out what to do to run the rear truggy tower on the buggy.

1. Use rear truggy shock tower
2. Use rear truggy 38mm shock set
3. Use front truggy 32mm shafts in rear truggy 38mm shock bodies.
4. Race vehicle

But for the RC8 fronts everybody is out of the AE 28mm big bore sets. I just wanted to know if i can buy the 32mm set and switch the shafts to 29mm. But are the bodies different between the 29mm and 32mm sets?

Buggy shock bodies are shorter.

I was running the orange and blue 808 with the black wing. And I had a just out of the box Slash. Names Matt. I qualified 3rd in the first round but it was downhill from there.
