what engine have best run time?
i want to buy new engine for my buggy, what engine i need with best run time?
|
os speed, ninja jx, rb concept c6bb, grp tuned are all engines that get good fuel economy and have good power and are reliable
|
+1 on all those
|
and can you write, how minutes can run each engine?
|
When one driver can get 12mins from an engien another can get 8 with the same one.Its totally down to throttle control. I can get 10 mins from all my 21 engines in my buggy and 10 minutes from my os 28 in my truggy but other drivers struggle to get 8.

that just depends on so many things and it varies hugely throughout the same line of engines

the best I have seen are from a OS V-Spec and RB C6.....however I do have a freak JPX 21 that consistently gets over 10 minutes in a X2 CRT
|
Got to test my GRP (tuned with 2053 GRP pipe and #6 GRP plugs) and was amazed when I got just under 12 mins on a tank.
Thats on a tight/technical track with the 6mm restrictor. |
i can get 12 minutes on my vspec in an x2 crt with jp3 pipe and 9mm restrictor. one thing i've found is that the lighter clutch springs i use, the more mileage i get because i don't have to keep the engine hammered.

i can go 8 and half 9 main on a stock vspec
i can go 10 on a mod spec thought on a grp tuned i can go 10 and half mins plus no porblem on a bad day it 9 but most the time it 10 i not try the jx but i here it go 10 mins with easy and has tons power the c6 i can not drive in a buggy it just to much motor for me so no run time info on that |
ON my GRP Tuned .21 with GRP #6 plug and promo pipe, I get mid 10 minutes. Thats being just barely broken in and its running around 210-220 Degrees. I hear lots of great things about the Trinity Ex-Tech .21 motors. Maybe in a week I will find out on the Trinity Ex .21.

i have a stock extech and get 9+ running 195 mild tune running a jp4 pipe but i hear with the extech or sirio 1056 10+

My JX Ninja seems to get better fuel economy than any other engine I have had prior. During the first gallon I could go about 7.5 but ever since I do 7.5 minute pits and still have 1cm fuel or more in the bottom of the tank in my buggy. I have a RC8 and usually after 7.5 minutes I have fuel all the way to the top of the insert than makes the tank the legal 125cc.
OS engines used to be the only ones that I saw that would easily run 7.5 plus but now there are many engines that can do it. Ive had great luck with the OS engines so I have stuck with them for the past 2 years. The V-Spec could always easily do 7.5 minute pit stops and the Speed was capable of doing 10 minute stops in its prime. I think I could probably get 10 from the JX Ninja but havent tried it yet. All of this was in buggy with a 125cc tank. |
FYI I always run a 8mm venturi and OS pipes.
