exhaust pipe is melting body...

i have a Jammin X1 buggy... the body cover is resting on the block part that sticks out of the exhaust where the pressure hose connects and it is melting that part of the body... i was wondering if there is a solution to this...

i got this buggy used with the stock Jammin body cover... i wanted to get a Pro-Line body for it but i'm not sure if it will have the same problem...

I just slide a zip tie into a piece of fuel tubing then wrap it around the fattest part of the exhaust and zip it up tight. I protects the exhaust from rubbing on the side guards and protects your body from melting.

Losi's heat shield nomex tape works good

I can't see that fuel tubing around the pipe would help as the pressure nipple on many will sit higher than the fuel tubing so it will still contact the body.

I'd just get about 1" x 1" of the cloth exhaust insulating tape that is used on headers for real cars and glue it inside the body at the right area
