mbx5t or any truggy hub/wheel question

i race on tight technical track with mbx5t truggy and have thought about changing wheels to get smaller track width but then found a buch of hubs on ebay from dinball which allow you to choose +2mm +4mm +6mm +8mm and +10mm the 5t hub is currently 18mm now if i reduce width of car a bit say 1inch or 1.5 inch will car be better for turning ??

I ran some 1/4" offsets on my Jammin (It normally uses 1/2" offsets) and DID NOT like the results. YMMV.
