suggestions TeamMagicM8 or Xray808?
Hi Guys
I really like the xray808 for various reasons but this buggy is $200 more than the TM M8 buggy, also the TM M8 buggy is new so maybe there isnt alot out there driving it but if someone has seen these buggies in action then I need your input. also I drive TM onroad cars and getting TM parts is a bit easier than xray but not a drama. any suggestions would be great cheers:) |
TM's on road cars are a beast. However there offroads have been a flop. I have never seen one honestly. Just look at the history on them they have had to come out with a new buggy or fix every year. Get your moneys worth and buy a solid buggy with a proven track record. 808, MBX6, Losi 2.0, or MP9 Even better by one of the before mentions late models. You will have a tough reliable buggy for cheap. Just go to the for sale section look at the prices on the 777WC just saw a roller for $250, MBX5R, X8BEC or the Losi 1.0. Excellent deals on excellent buggies. Don't get it twisted thos late models are still kicking butt there has not been that much improvement in the newer models to make a real difference. Oh and don't forget the HBD8 cheaper than all of them new and just won the Worlds.

The M8 isn't so new, it's just a refined version of the orriginal. I haven't heard much about this car as far as winning on a national level, but I can say that the xray 808 is hands down the best buggy I've ever run. most forgiving buggy ever! Because of That you can push it really hard! I wish my digital camera worked, I'd post a pic of my car for you!

Joking mate, I'm a bit the same, torn between 808, MP9:D, and O'Donnell z01B, I like the 808 and OD, but am stuck on the MP9, not sure what I'm gonna do. See ya this arvo (i'll probably be a little late, at work at present) Cheers |

Sorry for the off topics
As requested Track off Ully St George, France, http://www.rctech.net/forum/4963367-post101.html It's an Hybrid design: Fast with large jump like US track Technical as European No website, but a forum mostly used by members to gather http://minibolide.forumperso.com/la-...-pistes-t2.htm Most worthy picture are there, From a friendly race http://capelle.freebox.free.fr/ no the highest quality but I have no choice , low bandwith hosting + compact camera =:rolleyes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiIZWT8nQyg |
I run the M8, and before that the M1B Turbo. I will not discredit the other car manufacturers, because they are all good in their own right. The M8 hands down absorbs the whoops section better than any other. It turns great, has excellent response. Depending on what motor you use, it is just as fast. As far as reliable, I've had my issues, but still manage to finish a race. So if you can get parts easily, I say get it.

In all my time of racing, I have yet to even seen a TM buggy, so I can't say anything about it. But, I can tell you the 808 is a amazing buggy. The quality of material, and how it races is extremely impressive. You can't go wrong with an 808. :) |
I was really hoping to go the TM M8 buggy as I race TM onroad but I feel that from all the reports and study I have done its the 808 I will go for this time round and hopefully maybe a few years down the track the TM buggy will improve I hope!
cheers everyone for your suggestions!!:):tire: |
