I'm 16 and I've been racing my truggy since Christmas

I've been an oval person for about 7 years or so

and I have no clue what kind of buggy to get for this upcoming Christmas

I have a Losi 8ight-t right now

should I get the new Losi 2.0?

or the Hot Bodies D8?

or Another buggy?

I just want some help in a decision

Either of those are good cars. If your loose and fast and already drive a losi. Then you know it can be set for any type of driving style. As practically any buggy worth having can be. If you already have a losi it would probally be less cost in the long run to stay with that brand. Your bump box and tools, and some parts will transition to the 2.0.

However I do like the D8 thats a nice car. I'm actually thinking about getting one myself.

Most loose drivers around here (including myself) seem to be piloting RC8s. The Losi has a bit more "strapped" feedback, while it seems the RC8 loves to hang it out wherever possible, and pull through. Just my .02, but I can't seem to adjust to anyone's 8ight setup, ever. Nothing against the Losi, because I think it's another great buggy.

Chris, some of these guys will just tell you to get what they are running are what they are sponsored by. I do race for losi and losi is my favorite to date, but for you personally you already have the 8t, probably have a few parts for it and like the truck. Makes sense in your situation to stay with the brand a 75% of the parts will work for one or the other. If you just want something different I would say you have a safe bet with any of the major manf.

I have had the opportunity to race the 2.0 for the last 3-4 months testing and recently ran the worlds with it. I am very impressed! If you like the quality in your 8t then you will be very pleased with the 2.0.

Does not matter what type of driver you are. Any driver can drive any buggy. The losi is not for "fast" people only as some say.

I'm not sponsored but I do race expert, and I'd recommend you take a look at the Xray XB808. Needs no hop-ups, can be setup to suit any style as its a very neutral buggy. Also the lightest buggy on the market, and very very strong!

+1, but CC forgot the best part about the 808, which is the jumping ability! The Xray jumps like a Gazzelle on cocaine! It took me a couple of hours to learn to hold back the throttle, because it was just born to jump, and i would overshoot everything. Also box-stock setup is fully raceworthy for any track, with some minor changes to suit your style. I would definately suggest you look into the Xray, just so you make an educated choice, and not just pick what other people run

Not bagging the Losi, but it is a car that responds better to finesse than to a "loose, fast" style. They're a little edgy for that.

The Associated RC8 may be just the ticket... or the Jammin X1X... or the XRay 808 (although the XRay is closer to the Losi than the others.)
