Drive a few different buggies, if you can. You'll find one that suits your driving style the most, and that will ultimately be the "best" buggy for you. I drove a couple of Mugens and Xrays before I bought my RC8, and I looked like a dufus wheeling the MBX and 808 around. Even with different setups, they just didn't fit.

All modern buggies are on a prettly level playing field out of the box. You might be able to lap a track in 40 seconds with both an RC8 and an MBX6, but which feels more comfortable? In the end, whatever feels best will allow you to adjust easier and be more consistent. There's no way to tell what will work best for you, and I can, in no way, advocate the purchase of one buggy or another. Best of luck to you, and I hope you find what works for ya!

X-RAY 808. Just cuz I dont win with it means nothing. My 5yr old says its her favorite so its my favorite too. I do have 5 other buggys & they sit cuz she dont like the paint jobs REALLY! Why should I tell you for free when it cost me thousands to find out?

If this is your first buggy and you are planning on racing it I would suggest go to your local track and talk to some of the locals and see what they are running. It will be a lot easier to get help and setup advice.

I always like taking a chance will someone lesser known. That is why I chose the Caster ZX1-R. I like being different and I have not regretted it one bit. Best Buggy I have owned and I have had a Losi 8, Tq SX8, Some ofna's.
