help!! asking...
Hi...my name is dee...
I need you help.. I want to ask you few things first, I want to know what is the meaning of : 1/8 or 1/10 2nd, I wondering if i can changing the fuel from nitro to gasoline....what's the effect?? it is bad or my car can run fast...coz in my country nitro is very very expensive thanks for all |
8th and 10th are talking about the scale of your car. Basicly the size of them.
Do not try gasoline in you nitro engine. Only run nitro. Nitro will last a good while if your bashing or racing. I can get about three weekends of racing, practice, and tuning of of a gallon. Gas would be very dangerous, so dont try it. |
1/8 or 1/10 or 1/12 or 1/18 is the SCALE size if the car or truck meaning the SIZE!
As far as running gas instead of nitro, I'm not sure, but if i had to guess it would be NO? But I can tell you that nitro is expensive here also,, I was at a race in Louisville, Kentucky and saw gallon jugs of 30% nitro(won't mention the brand) for 51.99 WOW:weird: |
no on the gasoline. these engines are "glow" engines in which the plug has a coil of wire that glows and ignites the fuel when compressed similar to a diesel engine. gasoline requires only a spark to ignite the fuel at a precise timing event. gasoline in a glow engine= explosion....:deathstar

Like's been pointed out the 1/8th 1/10 this is scale or size. 1/8 is bigger than 1/10th and thats bigger than 1/12th and so on.
Gas is a no for a nitro engine. Gas needs an actual spark, the glow plug prob wouldn't ignite it to start with. Stick with nitro or buy something like a HPI Baja that uses a real gas engine. |
