This is good info. The LVC will not work in this application though. There is no receiver to send the signal to. I would think that to play safe, some kind of audible alarm or beeper will be better suited. Say, when the battery hit 3V per cell, a beeper goes off. There are home made versions as well as commercial offerings available.

I use the ht lipo it works good and is super light . I top it off after i use it but it never takes much
