Default Fuel Brands

Well, my local hobby shop has currently out of stock of my regular Byrons fuel. I still have enough to get by, but was wondering if I should consider a brand change.

I know that everyone "Loves" their fuel, but I would be interested in hearing reviews from someone that's run, Byrons, Werks and Odonnel. If you ran one tank of each, would you even notice a difference?

I run Byrons too & think it is very good. I've run Odonnels & it leaves a gooey mess inside the motors. Blue Thunder turns the inside of motors green. I like Byron because my motors run a little cooler & the insides are clean when I get in there to do work. Not bashing any brand, just my experiance.

I've only run Sidewinder and Byrons. No change in tune between the 2 really... and both seem to protect the motor well and make good power.

Recently switched from odonnel to sidewinder, and I like sidewinder better, no residue, burns cleaner, great power, just enough lube, but not too much. Love it

Maxy's Fuel works great and has no residue or coloring to your engine internals.

I was not a fan of odonnel, I about a half gallon before going back to nitrotane. The engine ran hotter, run time was shorter but power was similar.

Werks is great fuel, Byrons is a better, but werks is a close second. If for some reason I could not get byrons fuel anymore then I would definietly chose Werks. But if you can, stick with byrons because it is better. O'donnell is okay if thats all you can get but the other two are definietly better.

I had a V-Spec go out on me after 1 gallon and O.S. said it was because they don't recommend Byron's because the oil content is too low (11%). I live with a sponsored driver and he swears by Werks fuel.

I've ran Werks, Sidewinder, Tornado and Byron. My fav is werks, followed by tornado, sidewinder and byron.

Werks : Holds a tune, nice smoke, enables me to lean out yet maintain it's temperature (as compared to other fuels)
Sidewinder : Doesn't generate as much power as Werks and needs to run slightly rich or it gets hot (duh..)
Tornado : Similiar to werks, but I don't dig the yellow color and and the price tag
Byron : Engine runs hot, didn't like it overall

I'm sure many factors contributed to my findings, but I'm too lazy to elaborate...

+1 on that ...have never had any problems with byrons and its what i run most of the time ...i have tried others but the internals just have never looked as good as with a byrons run motor .....cool temps and an awesome lubriacation package ...i have a gallon of sidewinder 25/10 pro race blend and ive been thinking about giving it a shot ...everyone says its really close to byrons as far as the quality of the raw materials that go into it
