Joey "Batman" Perez and My Z10XBs both powered by SH2012 engines, lined up and waiting for the start of 1st round of quals last Saturday night at Mill's Pond for the "Force Series" warmup race.
Joey had some issues in his first round of quals, his transponder just out right stopped counting after 5 laps. he was on a great run.
I ended up TQing and winning the Amain.

Thought I'd put this out here for those team drivers (and just enthusiasts) who may be considering making the switch....
I've driven the ZMXB8 (powered by something other than SH) for a few years and have been a team member for less than a year. When I signed on, I did it because the Z8 was better than anything I ever drove in my limited time in RC. The engineering was second to none and still is. However, I was going forward with better lap times than with previous manufacturers but my setups were flat and so were my speeds. I had a lot to learn.
Recently, I made the jump to the Z10XB and now, will never look back!!! In my first attempts at racing competitively, I had a few mechanical drawbacks that were my fault. Also, I still had that "other" motor I was using. But...the difference between the Z8 and the Z10 became quickly apparent. That new steering is amazing and incredibly responsive. Small uptick in lap times......
This past weekend, I completed my first full set of quals and A main. By the end of the day, I beat my personal best lap times by more than 4 seconds. In each qualifier, while not finishing where I wanted to finish, I did make the top 5, three quals in a row. Winning lap times are in the 38 - 39 second area...I got down as low as 41.506. That may not seem that great to some, but for me? I picked up at least 10% in lap times.
Here's the bottom line: Make the jump! Get that Z10, electric or nitro. Power it with SH...(in my case, I'm now running the SH PT2012xbg with the SH T4 plug and Powermaster 30). The handling is one thing, the power (low, mid and high) is another and can't be beat. No one passed me in the straights! The only reason I got passed at all was when I screwed up. And on that score.....I'm getting better! Thanks for reading!

Well I finally got to run my new Z10XB-E today and all I can say is wow!! This thing is amazing. Coming from the 8ight-e 2.0 to this thing is like going from a mustang to a Ferrari. It is much more nimble and turns like no body's business. It is a little under sprung with the stock springs but I should have my gray springs tomorrow. I cant wait for race day. I spent alot of time and effort trying to get the Losi to steer, this thing is just about right out of the box. Thanks again to Mr. Rick and I cant wait to meet and race with the rest of my team mates!

I have been completely amazed by the drive-train on the z10xb-e so far. These are the smoothest and quietest diffs I have ever run. I was a little leary of the metal spur but it is quieter than the plastic setup on my losi. Simply AMAZING

Well I spent my first full day at the track with my z10xb-e!! So far I am very impressed with the handling. It was great through every section of the track with the exception of our 37ft. tripple, where it had a tendency to fly extremely nose high (does anyone have any setup advice to counter this, other than a weight on the front). Other than that one issue I was blown away! I ran some of my fastest laps ever yesterday on a ungroomed dusty surface. My fastest lap was 37.3. I really cant wait to line her up with the team c boys in tally!
